shipping and delivery

what happens if my ceramic piece breaks during shipping?

we handle breakage claims on a case-by-case basis. every piece is packed using industrial-grade, eco-friendly cushioning designed for fragile freight. in the rare event that your shipment arrives damaged, email us a clear photo within 48 hours of delivery, and we will ship a replacement.

how fast do orders ship?

ready-to-ship collection drops are processed and dispatched within 2–3 business days. once shipped, domestic delivery typically takes 3–5 days (7-14 days for international) depending on your location. you will receive a tracking link via email or SMS the moment your shipping label is printed.

do you ship internationally?

yes. we ship worldwide using dynamic international rates calculated directly at checkout. international buyers are responsible for any local import customs, duties, or value-added taxes (VAT) levied by their home country.

craft and care

are your ceramics dishwasher and microwave safe?

yes. all of our high-fired earthenware and porcelain tableware pieces are fully vitrified, non-porous, and safe for daily use in both the dishwasher and microwave. (note: specialised luster pieces or 24k gold/silver kintsugi restorations are strictly hand-wash only and NOT microwave safe).

are your glazes food-safe?

yes. every glaze used in our studio is 100% non-toxic, lead-free, and food-safe. they are formulated in-house to withstand hot liquids, high acidity, and daily kitchen use without leaching.

why does my piece look slightly different from the website photo?

every piece is individual hand-thrown and fired in small kiln batches. subtle variations in glaze colour, surface texture, and exact dimensions (within 5%) are natural outcomes of the firing process. you are purchasing a unique, one-of-a-kind functional art piece.

returns and cancellation

can I return a piece if I don’t like it?

due to the small-batch nature of studio ceramic drops, all sales are final once shipped. we do not accept returns for change of mind. if your piece arrives damaged or defective however, do refer to our shipping policy above.

can I cancel an order after placing it?

you may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase for a 100% refund before packing begins.

commissions and contingencies

what is the minimum order value and timeline for custom works?

all custom studio commissions require a $150 minimum project value and a 4–6 week production lead time. ceramics is a slow, multi-stage manufacturing process involving throwing, slow-drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final vitrification. we do not offer rush orders that compromise drying physics.

how does payment work for custom orders?

accepted applications require a 30% non-refundable retainer upfront to lock in studio capacity, build custom clay bodies, and formulate glaze batches. the remaining 70% balance plus shipping fees is invoiced upon project completion, right before your pieces are dispatched.

what happens if a custom order breaks during kiln firing?

custom projects carry inherent technical loss risk. if a custom piece cracks, warps, or fails quality control in the kiln, we re-make and re-fire it immediately at zero additional cost to you. if this extends your indicated timeline, we will notify you immediately with a updated studio schedule.
